In 2001 inaugurated a new outdoor seal pool, Sealarium, which replaced an older seal basin and created better conditions for both seals and guests.

Hirtshals Museum
Vendsyssel Historical Museum is housed in an old fisherman's home from 1880, shows how a fishing family lived at the time. Hirtshals Lighthouse
Hirtshals lighthouse on top of Stenbjerg is the city's beautiful landmarks. The lighthouse was inaugurated in 1863 and is built in King Frederik the VII's time. King's monogram adorns the tower just above the entrance door. Hirtshals lighthouse is 35 meters and has a focus height of 57 meters. That is, the top is 57 meters above sea level. The reason, the tower is built, is located 22 meters above the sea. Take the 144 steps up and enjoy the stunning views of the Skagerrak and Vendsyssel.

In the barn there is a fascinating exhibition about the ship trading between Vendsyssel and the Norwegian Southern Norway.
