Blokhus is located in Northern Denmark (North Jutland), during Jammerbugt community and has 415 inhabitants (2010).

From Easter to the middle of October the High Street is for pedestrians only and you'll find a range of activities for all the family.

In Blokhus you’ll also find excellent sports facilities and a relaxed atmosphere with cafés, restaurants, shops, artist’s workshops and a little sweet shop where you can see boiled sweets being made the old-fashioned way. When the west wind blows you can take advantage of the many indoor activities on offer – or experience another side of the beach, you'll find there's powerkiting, surfing and windsurfing.

Passengers traveling from other parts of Denmark can reach Blokhus by train, bus or airplane to Aalborg.  The journey time by  bus from Aalborg, the nearest large town to the south, is approx. between 1 hr 10 mins - 1 hr 45 mins. (40 minutes in car). From Aalborg Airport to Frederikshavn station is the journey time aprox. 1.5 hour by bus.

The nearest train station is located in Hjørring and this connects you to pretty much all of Denmark. Frederikshavn is on the Hjørring, Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense, Roskilde, Copenhagen, Line. It takes approximately 5 hours 50 minnuts to reach Copenhagen.

Frederikshavn can be reached by ferry from Norway (Oslo) and Sweden (Gothenburg) and connects Læsø Island to Jutland.
Stena Line operates the route Gothenburg - Frederikshavn which takes 2 hours with Stena Line Express and 3 hours 15 min. with Stena Danica/Jutlandica and the route Oslo - Frederikshavn which takes 12 hours.
Læsø Line operates the route Læsø - Frederikshavn which takes 90 min.  

Bus from Frederikshavn to Blokhus takes approximately 1 hours.  from Hjørring to Blokhus takes approximately 40 min.
