ARoS Art Museum ARoS - Aarhus Art Museum, established in 2004, and the museum has since proven that it is an attraction in absolute world class. ARoS
is the city's medieval name, meaning "city by the mouth of the river." the
Aarhus Kunstmuseum, which moved to new premises in the center
of Aarhus. ARoS is next door to City Hall, the courthouse and the Concert Hall. ARoS includes 17,800 m2 of nine storeys, and is the largest art museum in Northern Europe. The museum was inaugurated April 8 2004 Inside the Museum presents an impressive curved space which divides the museum into two halves from the ground floor to the roof, a total of nine floors. Walkways and staircases linking the two halves and all the floors together into a whole. On
floors saves the exhibition spaces themselves, including a children's museum. Bottom

overlooking the city and the Bay of Aarhus. Museum absolute masterpiece is

1,000 m2, which includes works from about 1770 and up to today, which
corresponds to a collection of about 9,000 works. A
of the museum's gems is the large collection of Danish modernist art
early 1900s, and the world's largest Per Kirkeby collection. In temporary exhibition gallery exhibited annually three big international exhibitions.
