Tarm is a market town in western Jutland with 4,129 inhabitants (2010), located in Tarm Sogn. Geographically, the word Tarm, "long, narrow land area". Tarm city lies in
Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality just south of Skjern River and belongs to Region Central Denmark.
Tarm lies in an incredibly beautiful areas and five kilometers north of Tarm lies Skjern which is the capital of the region, and approx. eight kilometers to the west, you come to Skaven Strand
Fjord. 18 kilometers southwest lies Bork Harbour with Viking ships and various tourist activities. To the east lies the moorland area Borris Sønder Land.
